Malvern Hills District Council is funding a programme of free community Essential First Aid courses, which will be delivered by members of St John Ambulance.
The Essential First Aid course is offered to members of the public who want to know what action to take in any emergency and want to learn how to deal with accidents and injuries. This course deals with serious conditions and incidents involving a casualty of any age.
The first of a series of courses took place on Friday 31 October at Council House, Malvern. Attendee Councillor Phil Grove, Portfolio Holder with responsibility for Health & Wellbeing, said: “I am really pleased that the first aid courses offered by the council have generated so much community interest. First aid saves lives and St. John Ambulance provides training to equip us with these essential skills. One of the other important benefits of the first aid training is that it develops confidence and community spirit. So please be quick and sign up”.
